The Angove Guest House in Weymouth had a big moment earlier this year, taking the win on
Channel 4’s Four in a Bed in March 2026 – and not long after, I was in to give the place a proper refresh. The guest house sits over multiple floors, which means guests and staff are moving up and down the stairs constantly throughout the day, and that kind of traffic shows on the carpet fast, especially on a dark patterned weave where every mark tends to stand out against the design.

I worked through the whole building except the bedrooms themselves – every flight of stairs across all the levels, plus the corridors and communal areas guests pass through on their way in and out. Using the Steempro power plus with the Magma in-line heater, the hot water extraction lifted the ground-in soiling that builds up on stairs particularly quickly, bringing the pattern and colour back to something much closer to how it looked when the carpet was first laid.

It’s always satisfying seeing a place like this looking its best, especially somewhere that’s just had a bit of the spotlight on it. One of the team messaged shortly after: “Thank you, you did an amazing job” – which is exactly the kind of reaction that makes the job worthwhile.
