Dorchester has a good number of restaurants running full lunch and dinner sittings, and the
dining room carpet is often the part of the routine that simply doesn’t get time between services. Week after week, wine, grease and trodden-in crumbs dull the whole surface – not just the areas with an obvious mark.

When I go into a restaurant here, I look first at the zones that see the most direct service traffic the server run to the kitchen, the area near the bar – because that’s where soiling is most concentrated and needs a stronger pre-treatment. Then I move on to a full extraction with the Steempro Power Plus and Magma heater, which breaks down greasy residue far better than a cold clean.

I always book these visits outside opening hours, so the dining room is completely dry and ready for the next sitting without the restaurant losing a single evening.
